Cody Stone Gemstone: Unveiling the geological, scientific marvel

In 1911, Thomas Edison struck a deal with Buffalo Bill Cody upon discovering the need for Tungsten in his lightbulb filaments. The Tungsten sourced from the Cody Stone became integral to Edison’s early lightbulbs.

The Great History of Buffalo Bill’s Cody Stone

William Frederick Cody’s mining interests started in the Santa Catalina Mountains, clearly visible and beautiful from the Tucson, Oracle, and Oro Valley area.

Inspired by the rich history and natural beauty of the American west, my artistic journey started with a promise to preserve the history of a geologically complex, rare, and historic gemstone known as Cody Stone named after the Wild West Icon Buffalo Bill Cody.

My preferred medium is rare stone and precious metals. My vision is to imbue each work with a sense of artistry and craftsmanship that reflects unwavering commitment to quality and creativity which not only dazzles the senses but also tells a story of heritage, luxury and artistic expression.
